Hagyard Equine Medical Institute & National Veterinary Imaging Solutions, LLC
2
The Siemens Espree MRI located at Hagyard Equine is one of only three of it’s kind in the U.S. for Equine and Companion Animals
3
Siemens Espree MRI is the Largest Bore of any MRI scanner making it ideal for imaging all equine patients including entire foals up to 500 lbs.
4
The compact length design of the Espree makes maneuvering horses easier thus improving overall timing of scans & less time under anesthesia
5
The Espree at Hagyard is able to do extra sequences in the same time frame providing
more valuable information.
6
Our 1.5T MRI provides immediate identification of sources of lameness or illness in both Equine and Companion Animals

Coronal Image of horse with sinus mass suspected to be squamous cell carcinoma
11
Foal with intraspinous ligament trauma with resultant impingement on the spinal cord
12
Cartilage damage in the fetlock joint and formation of cyst in the bone of P1
13
This horse has had lameness localized to the fetlock joint – chronic fracture of P1 that extends from the fetlock joint into P1
14
Slide one - Horse with damage to the high suspensory ligament
15
Slide two – same horse w/damage to the bone where the damaged high suspensory ligament attaches as seen with this (white) inflammation within the bone
16
Horse with a cyst in P2 near the coffin joint surface – cartilage in the coffin joint is irregular as well.
17
Slide one - Horse had symptoms of drainage by its left eye
18
Slide two- MR outlined a structure which turned out to be a stick underneath the muscle behind the left eye on this horse.

Our MRI tech has over 20 years of
MRI experience
28
The physics knowledge-base of our radiology team allows each study to provide more information then traditional scans
29
The MRI team at Hagyard has a very experienced staff of Anethesiologist that perform over 6,000 surgeries each year
30
The extensive training and experience of the MRI team at Hagyard contributes to the safety of
each procedure
31
Our MRI scanner can successfully scan the entire body of a Foal
32

33

34
This foal had a spinal impingement which only MRI could detect.
35
NVIS & Hagyard can successfully scan on all horses regions of: the hoof, pastern, fetlock, pastern, up to the elbow and stifle region (in specific horses), head & cervical region,
